Akt is an independent magazine in search for greatness in a small corner, abstraction in the mass, with a keen eye for timeless aesthetics and a nod to Belgium’s creative landscape of architecture, design, fashion, food and beyond.
In issue one, the magazine includes talks with SX, Kaspar Hamacher, Charbel Abou Zeidan, Thomas Haarmann, Maarten van Essche and Berlinde De Bruyckere. Akt also visits the home of Élise Van Thuyne, studies the works of Gijs Van Vaerenbergh and Dom Hans Van Der Laan. It also joins Illuminine in Iceland while recording, and meets ‘Tsuki’ Kozuki who looks back on a decade-long collaboration with choreographer Sidi Larbi Charkaoui. Finally, Akt finds out more on the theme of ‘Modesty’ in ‘The Quiet Revolution’.
