The designs by Antwerp-based Marc Merckx are evidence of his search for balance between proportions, materials and space. His style varies from a warm minimal to a simple classical, but his approach is always to ensure functional use as well as quality of living. On many projects, Marc has worked with artisans in Belgium, Europe and the US, using traditional methods to design contemporary details.
In 2015, Marc launched ICO, a small collection of objects and furniture that combines sculptural forms with functionality. Each piece has been carefully designed as a useable object made to last, using materials that will age beautifully.
