Description

For the reissue of textile artist Ingrid Dessau’s ‘Karusell’, we were tasked with bringing a high-profile archival design back to life while honouring the legacy of one of Sweden’s most influential textile artists. Working solely from original 1950s sketches, we developed a visual concept rooted in the decade’s minimalist domestic aesthetics.

Every detail of the set was carefully curated using only era-appropriate props, focusing on clean lines and restraint. Dessau’s affinity for glass was woven into the styling as a subtle tribute. Backed by extensive research, the project sought to translate her timeless design language into imagery that feels both authentic and relevant today.
